Two pieces for a commission order using purple. Color Modules made from salvaged wood with mixed media color applied to strips with black edges and spacing between them. The top and bottom portions are torch blackened (carbonized). The impetus for the charred black wood was The Palisades Fire from January, 2025 which decimated the part of Los Angeles where I grew up. The title is from N Las Casas Ave, a street in Pacific Palisades where homes were lost.
