Burn Series - Modern art from assembled salvaged wood with mixed media color. Additionally, each piece incorporates charred carbonized wood, salvaged boards that I've burned with a torch. The impetus for incorporating blackened wood was the January, 2025 fire in Pacific Palisades, where I grew up. All pieces are named after streets in the areas affected by the fire where structures were lost. Thousands of homes and buildings were reduced to cinders or severely damaged, the future of reconstruction is unwritten.
