Color Modules Burn Series - This Century Modern
Modern contemporary art made from assembled salvaged wood with mixed media color and blackened accents.
Each of these pieces incorporates charred carbonized wood that has been burned with a torch. The impetus for the blackened accents was the devastating January, 2025 fire in Pacific Palisades, where I grew up. All pieces are named after streets in the areas decimated by the fire where thousands of homes and other buildings were reduced to cinders or severely damaged.
